Frequently Asked Questions about Industrial Belts

Conveyor belt, synchronous belt, and ribbed belt are some of our most commonly used transmission belts. What are the problems we often encounter?
1. Belt slippage
After the motor is started, the driving drum idles and the belt slips, and the belt cannot start. This failure is caused by insufficient belt tension, improper adjustment of the tensioning device, excessive length of the belt, heavy load starting, excessive coal pile at the end of the belt, etc.
2. Belt deviation
The reason for the deviation is that the belt has lateral forces during operation. The reasons for the lateral forces are as follows: the conveyor is loaded to one side instead of in the middle; the installation axis of the idler and roller is not in line with the center of the conveyor belt. Verticality; the height of the fuselage wire rope is inconsistent; the conveyor belt joint is not straight and straight; the position of the coal unloading drum is not adjusted properly; the tail drum and guide drum are not adjusted properly, which can cause the belt to deviate.
3. Belt breakage
This reason is caused by excessive belt tension, weak joints, poor belt buckle quality, long belt use, poor maintenance quality, etc. The method is to tighten the tensioning device, reduce the tension, replace the belt with a new one in time, and strengthen maintenance.quality.
4. The belt has an abnormal sound
This reason is caused by excessive wear of the bearings and gears, excessive clearance, or loosening of the housing stabilizing screws. The solution is to replace the bearings, adjust the clearance, or replace the overall reducer for overhaul.
