PU timing belt processing methods
May 09, 2024
PU timing belt is a transmission belt widely used in industrial manufacturing and logistics transportation fields. Its processing method has an important impact on its performance and service life. The following will introduce several common processing methods of PU timing belts.
1. Hot pressing molding
Hot press forming is one of the most commonly used methods in PU timing belt processing. This method is to heat the PU material to the melting point, apply pressure to make it fit with the belt pulley, and form a timing belt after cooling and solidification. During the hot press forming process, attention needs to be paid to controlling the heating temperature and time, as well as the material and size of the belt pulley and other factors to ensure the performance and service life of the timing belt.
2. Injection molding
Injection molding is another common processing method for PU timing belts. This method is to inject the PU material into the mold of the pulley under high temperature and high pressure, cool and solidify, and then demould to obtain the timing belt. Injection molding processing requires the selection of appropriate injection machines, molds and materials to ensure the dimensional accuracy and material performance of the timing belt.
3. Winding molding
Winding forming is one of the more special methods in PU timing belt processing. This method is to wrap the PU material around the pulley according to certain rules, and then bond it with an adhesive to form a synchronous belt. Winding forming processing requires the selection of appropriate materials and adhesives, as well as control of factors such as the number of winding turns and pressure, to ensure the performance and service life of the timing belt.
4. Vulcanization molding
Vulcanization molding is one of the more commonly used methods in PU timing belt processing. This method is to mix PU material and rubber material, heat them to a molten state, coat them on the skeleton material, and form a timing belt after vulcanization treatment. Vulcanization molding processing requires the selection of appropriate rubber materials and skeleton materials, as well as control of vulcanization time and temperature and other factors to ensure the performance and service life of the timing belt.
5. Other processing methods
In addition to the above-mentioned common processing methods, there are also other processing methods, such as laser cutting, mechanical cutting, etc. These processing methods can be selected according to different needs and materials.
