Introduction to the three tooth shapes of timing belts

Timing belts are currently mainly divided into two categories: trapezoidal teeth and arc teeth, and the other is the PRR series. According to the arrangement surface of the belt teeth, it can be divided into single-sided teeth timing belts and double-sided teeth timing belts. The double-sided teeth are timing belt that has teeth on both the upper and lower sides of the belt and can transmit power on both sides at the same time.

 

1. Trapezoidal teeth timing belt can be divided into two types: single-sided teeth and double-sided teeth. Double-sided teeth can be divided into two types according to the arrangement of the teeth: symmetrical tooth shape (DA) and staggered tooth shape (DB); among which MXL.XL. L.H tooth shape and T shape tooth are suitable for normal torque transmission, while AT shape tooth is suitable for high load transmission.

The reason why the arc teeth timing belt can effectively reduce the polygonal effect between it and the pulley tooth groove is that its tooth top is arc-shaped and the middle of the tooth is convex. When it engages with the belt pulley for transmission, The tooth top will be in contact with the tooth groove, which reduces the polygon effect, transmits more power, makes the transmission smoother, and produces less noise.

 

3. The structure of the special bimodal tooth shape is very different from the standard trapezoidal tooth. The main structural change is to improve the single tooth into a "bimodal" tooth structure. The force will be distributed to the two tooth peaks. More uniform; the belt teeth and gears mesh accurately, with accurate transmission ratio and low noise!

Its main advantages include: the timing belt pulley is completely the same as AT10, but its service life is longer than that of AT10 series! This special toothed synchronous belt has good turning effect and is suitable for high-speed transmission. It is generally used in robot equipment.
