Precautions for installing synchronous belt
May 10, 2024
① When installing the synchronous belt, if the center distance of the two pulleys can be moved, the center distance of the pulleys must be shortened first, and then the center distance can be reset after the synchronous belt is installed. If there is a tension pulley, loosen the tension pulley first, then install the synchronous belt, and then install the tension pulley.
② When installing the synchronous belt on the
Belt Pulley, be sure not to use excessive force or use a screwdriver to pry the synchronous belt hard to prevent the tensile layer in the synchronous belt from breaking unnoticeably. When designing the pulley, choose a structure where the two shafts can move closer to each other. If the structure does not allow it, install the synchronous belt and pulley together on the corresponding shaft.
③Control the appropriate initial tension.
④ In synchronous belt transmission, the parallelism of the axes of the two pulleys is required to be relatively high, otherwise the synchronous belt will deviate during operation, or even jump out of the pulleys. Non-parallel axes will also cause uneven pressure and cause early wear of the belt teeth.
⑤The frame supporting the pulley must have sufficient rigidity, otherwise the pulley will cause the two axes to be non-parallel when the combination lock is operating.
